What You Will Do:
The Project Manager at Ruskin plays a critical role in planning, leading, and coordinating activities for designated project orders. This position is responsible for aligning cross-functional teams, maintaining timelines, and ensuring projects meet budget and quality expectations. Acting as a key point of contact, the Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and engineering collaboration to customer communication and final delivery. This role requires a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and consistently delivers excellence.
How You Will Do It:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to determine when orders meet project criteria and assign them to a project manager.
- Create comprehensive project summaries and request required drawings from Engineering.
- Facilitate meetings with drafters to develop detailed project timelines.
- Enter CASES for Engineering review and prepare preliminary calculations.
- Communicate engineering schedules and updates directly to customers.
- Review drawings post-submittal and address any necessary revisions.
- Assess customer-requested changes for re-pricing needs and forward results to Sales and Marketing.
- Oversee the release of orders and communicate material requirements to production facilities to support shipping schedules.
- Provide ship dates and updates to representatives and customers.
- Travel to production facilities to discuss quality control plans and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Visit jobsites to monitor installation processes and assist contractors as needed.
- Deliver post-shipment support, resolving any issues promptly to ensure timely payment.
- Maintain clear and thorough records of all communication with representatives and customers.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately to guide project execution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- Six to eight years of related experience, preferably in the HVAC industry, with demonstrated product knowledge or application expertise.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, at least ten years of relevant experience in project management and the HVAC sector
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Willingness to travel to production sites and jobsites as needed.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
